The station’s main facility houses offices, conference room, laboratory, dormitory, bunk rooms, and shop. For extended stays by research personal, an efficiency apartment (located on station) and a camper trailer for off site work are available with advanced notice.

One of seven long-term (25 yr +) forested watershed monitoring and gaging stations in SE Oklahoma maintained by the station staff.

The station supports a wide array of wildlife, fisheries, and natural resource research efforts.

Station conference room, dormitory, and bunk rooms are available to researchers, educators & students in support of their on-going research and instructional needs. The conference room is also available for use to the general public.


The station often host community based activities and educational programs.


The station staff helps organize and host meetings and field trips for organizations and colleges throughout the region.


The station also harvests hay from the forest areas. These crops serve as income for the station.

Station staff regularly support principle investigators and graduate students in their research efforts Here they can be seen adding a graduate student evaluate salt cedar encroachment on the Cimarron National Grasslands in SW Kansas.
