The OSU Botanical Garden is an beautiful and ever-changing place. The garden is made up of many smaller theme gardens. Different themes are chosen each for the gardens so you won't see the same thing from year to year.

The Patriotic Garden (above) is one of the 2008 theme gardens.

The garden staff also illustrates how to enjoy gardening in small spaces with the patio garden (above) created for the 2008 season.

The gardens are open to the public and you can arrange for guided tours from garden staff.

The garden is home to a vast array of plants including: flowers, fruit and nut trees, vegetables, herbs, shrubs and much more.

The OSU Botanical Garden also serves as the studio for the Oklahoma Gardening TV Show. The show, which debuted in 1975, airs on Saturdays and Sundays on OETA stations.

Kimberly Rebek is the 10th host of Oklahoma Gardening. Kim strives toward low-impact gardening methods by reducing chemical inputs and encouraging natural pest management. Her gardening interests include all things edible, as well as landscaping for wildlife.

The Oklahoma Gardening show also features cooking and food preservation and preparation demonstrations with Barbara Brown, OSU Extension Food Specialist.

The Botanical Garden is currently expanding and will soon have a tree-lined entrance off of Highway 51 and a new parking lot on the south end of the property.

There is never a shortage of vibrant colors and wonderful fragrances at the Botanical Garden.

Garden faculty, staff and volunteers also strive to educate the public about gardening, horticulture and landscape architecture.
